What started out as a rough trip is smoothing out. The flight here to Rio was ridiculous. The plane felt like it was going to fall out of the sky. People were praying around us… Super sketchy feeling. To top it off the food wasn’t doing so good either!

We landed in Rio after many delays and a hour later then planned. But it was all good. We found a cab with a fair price and got to our hotel. Not too exciting for a first day considering the weather was as bad as it was. All rain and clouds. So we mainly just kept inside after grabbing a bite to eat. We all crashed out and took a much needed nap. Since it wasn’t too easy to sleep on the plane.

Tonights training was great. It felt good to get on the mat and get some sweat going. JT and I took turns battling our Brazilian teammates of all belt colors and got our much needed workout done. It felt great to use the techniques that I had been working on and seeing that they were working better and better. Especially with a different team that has different styles.

We are about to venture out one last time before heading to bed. Gotta find some good food first though.  Stay tuned and I will keep you updated as how the trip goes.
