Don’t know if you’ll get this….but kick some ass in that tourney next week. I’m sure that you’re enjoying the North Shore Brah!! All is good back home. See you back on the mat soon.
Where is the Purebred gym? I’ve only been to Guam one time, 10 years ago. There was a area of hotels and then a row of shopping malls for Japanese tourists. Didn’t see much else other than Cocos island.
I’ve learned a LOT from your various fights and particularly your Grappling Gameplan Seminar. Been a devout fan of the ’submitting’ type half guard (that’s how I put it anyway.. z-guard type stuff!) and Brabo chokes for a long while, and needless to say I became an immediate fan when I learned of your style and success!! =]
I was wondering if there is any way to acquire your fights @ Brown Belt and other belts (particularly the Mundials)?
Would be awesome to have mate!
Hey Mike,
Very cool site! I recently invested in Master Lloyds Strength Training corse and was wondering how you balance your strength and conditioning work with your jiu-jitsu training?
1) Do you do it at a seperate time of day i.e. bjj am workout p.m.
2) How many times a week
3) How do you mix up the stuff in the course, upper, core, lower body, BodyLow and now your rings workouts.
Any advice would be great, I run an academy here in South Africa. We dont have any Black Belts and progress is tough as no one to turn to for advice, so any you could give would be great! Really admire what youve achived in the sport and have your gameplan seminar and now hafa adai and they have both made a HUGE impact on my game. Thanks for putting the info out there.
Thanks for reading!

Mike,
I am a Marine stationed in Japan. Do you have a dojo in Guam? We have military flights that go there often. Would it be possible to come train with you sometime?
